SUMMARY
• Provide discipline-specific technical support and consultation to scaffold maintenance or assigned projects under the general direction of MSA.
• Ensure that contractor companies are compliant with required specifications and applicable rules and regulations.
• Evaluates and supports the quality and assurance of the scaffold contractors and the products and services provided to MSA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Follows safety requirements and expectations, demonstrates model behavior in the application of these requirements and expectations, and appropriately reinforces behaviors in the field.
• Communicates with Contract Administrator, Contractor Safety, Superintendents and Foremen
• Provide time delay audits and provides input into assisting in reducing delay cost to MSA.
• Responsible for daily scaffold audits for adherence to Global Specifications along with billing and safety standards to maintain contract compliance by contractor companies.
• Provides data to the Contract Administrator to enable him/her to maintain detail knowledge of all field audits and defects.
• Attends safety meetings
• Daily documentation of field and time audits
• Comprehend and ensure Life Critical Work Practice with the Global Elevated Work Standard, and Risk Mitigation Plan are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of the assigned discipline specifications and standard practices of Scaffold Applications
• Competency in field application of OSHA Regulations and M-79 requirements
• Leadership capability and above average communication skills both written and verbal.
• Conflict resolution skills to achieve timely and constructive solutions to personal and technical differences.
• Demonstration of the ability to solve problems and make competent decisions.
• In-depth knowledge of local, state and governmental laws and regulations
• Ability to assess productive and safe performance of all contract workers
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• 5 years Scaffold application experience
• Scaffold Training Institute
• Knowledge of M-79 standard
• Knowledge of GEW standard
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Read and comprehend simple instructions and respond to correspondences.
• Write correspondence and effectively communicate.
• Ability to read and comprehend written specifications, manufactures recommendations and plant's procedures.
COMPUTER SKILLS
• Must demonstrate proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Outlook and various office tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
REASONING ABILITY
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished orally or in writing.
• Ability to identify issues, intervene, coach and teach to resolve problems and unsafe conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to climb permanent scaffolds, ladders, in the pipe rack and operate an Aerial Lift.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Typical environments have many obstructions/challenges related to the routine task of walking. These challenges include, but are not limited to, uneven work surfaces, mud and obstructions on the ground, etc. The employee must be able to safely walk and maneuver around these obstructions/challenges.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The employee is expected to perform his/her duties mostly in the field environment.
• He/she is expected to spend at least 80% of the work day in the field.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions that are hot and humid and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
